When I was working in hardware firm & somewhat new to this field & wasn’t thinking career in IT field ... networking draw me into it.
& of course if you like to do lots of gimmicks like me... you must be doing different setting experiments.. Well my teammates were calling it R&D.
But in this IT world, you know that... you must have proof which can prove you have that specific knowledge. So this is how I got attracted to MCSE Certifications.
MCSE certifications & networking ...
What exactly connection between them?
why Microsoft conducting them?
Haan!!! Well Known connection is.... If you are working in computer hardware networking field. Then you know... It is link for the higher paying salary & top desigination..
Well forget about it...
the networking-
computer networking... is very large field itself. So what’s Microsoft’s role in IT networking. You might be wondering what you have to study for MCSE Certifications.
You can easily guess.. It’s all you have to study about Network Operating Systems. Which are Microsoft’s products. Not in core level of network.. About-How it works on hardware... but on user friendly level. How it works for users.. How it work on network.. & how you can make it work for user & how you can run these microsoft systems on network without problem.
If you know OSI layer module... then simply I can say... syllabus for MCSE Certifications is mostly regarding to upper layers services.
AND...
If you DON’T know about this OSI Layer module thing...
THAT’S GOOD...
you don’t need too get confused. It is very simple, basic, networking for you... which starts with user level... where you operate... a networking of Operating system...
You mostly have to study about....
Operating system’s settings, features, services, different network settings etc.
well but those includes lots of work..... like..
ip addressing DNS, DHCP & other more communication protocols like FTP, etc
In mcse certification you don't have to study how any network hardware work. you have to study how network application software at user end work.
you have to study Microsoft’s software which handles user level devices like computer.. Not switches or router.
& these softwares are different different windows operating system. & which protocol & services work with this systems.
ok.. that's it..
Conclusion:
Microsoft networking is very easy & at basic level. But yes there is loads of stuff to remember to have your mcse certifications.
But rest assure, if you understand the concepts; you can solve any questions that you may face in exams as well as in real IT world.
