MCSE Or MCSA

MCSE OR MCSA?

Mcse vs. Mcsa? What’s different between them?

Only E & A ... well both are vowels... in English language...

so here... you see... both contains core exams...

Or...

i will say... A is for Average skills

& E is for some Extra.

Well in real IT industry world what really count is your experience & you hard work..

If you are hardworking & work more than expected, they will load all different different role on you, they even won't bother to check if you are certified to perform that task..

But when its matter of salary hike or designation raise you must have certificates in your hand..

Oh sorry!!! Now to the point...

MCSE- E stands for engineer &

MCSA- A stands for administrator.

Well again 1 point came to my mind... (in india you see..)
when any person joins IT company, newbie starts with post engineer & administrator’s post for an experienced person...

Well here in mcse certification MCSA- A stands for your average, basic or common qualification needed for all computer technologist. & MCSE- E stands for expert qualities.

Now i m serious..

MCSE OR MCSA ?

In MCSA- Administration- you need to know how to implement, manage & maintain windows based network & Microsoft’s networking services.

&

In MCSE- Engineering- here you need to study how to implement, manage & maintain windows based huge network.. Plus how to plan these networks, how to design network, in real world sometimes your architecture skill demanded to design network.

There are lots of exam's options to become mcse certified. well but this choice is for elective exams particularly.. Most core exams are compulsory..

So what would you select.. mcse or mcsa?

Some extra or same average..

Consider MCSA:

  • If you have very limited time to complete your certification- & your job or day schedule doesn’t provide much time for study... Go for MCSA.
  • Money problem!! yes really!! This is important factor.. You have to pay money for training & then for Microsoft’s each exams.. i.e. $125 for every 7 papers.
Latter on you can continue your certification & get the title of mcse.- but carefully choose exams those are common for mcse & mcsa.
  • If Microsoft going to publish new certification exam track soon, but you need certification as soon as possible for current job. Do mcsa.
  • If your company uses other servers, too. Like Linux etc. & you require other certifications too.. Go for core certification of Microsoft.. MCSA..

Consider MCSE when:

  • You love studying & you like to give lots of exams.
  • You like designing & planning & you have great imagination power.
  • Choose mcse for better career in windows based platform.

Well & of course you like to learn more & more, do MCSE!

Now!!

In industry, network is full of different servers.. Not only based on Microsoft platform... so you might have to study for those different certifications too.

So here, while choosing your certification consider which job designation you are looking for.

If your job interest is for system Admin, go for MCSA.. But if your want to work with networks, go for MCSE.

Remember this,, Microsoft is not the only product that industry use.
Only Microsoft’s certification is not enough for good career in IT Field...

for system admin you must have knowledge of all types of systems.
& for network admin you must have knowledge of all types of devices on network.
